Page 16 - Copenhagen (part 3 - Tivoli Gardens)

Many travel books and magazine articles list Tivoli Gardens as a "must see" attraction in Copenhagen.  Rick Steves is not quite so enthusiastic, but nevertheless, we expected a little more than what was there.  Like I have mentioned before, Tivoli Gardens was a bit of a disappointment given all the hoopla I had heard.  Not that we didn't like it, only that it was not as extensive as we had expected, and we thought it was a little overrated. It was not pricey, as Rick Steves warns.  Entrance fee (senior rate) was 69DKK ($11.00) and wine was 29DKK ($4.75) per glass.

Anyway, on with the photos!

Entrance to Tivoli Gardens. Entry way. In the garden.
What a wonderful pool. Some Oriental flavor.
To be copletely fair, I must say that our Tivoli Gardens experience was reduced to a great extent by the weather.  Had it been warm and sunny, perhaps we would have taken a couple of rides and sat down in an outdoor cafe longer while enjoying a glass of wine.
Sipping wine
Next is Christiania, etc
