Page 30 - Kuopio - Part 2,the City

We now get to see a bit of the city of Kuopio.
In front of the town cathedral is a neat park.
In the park are numerous flowers and plants as well as statues.

At 10:00 a.m. we visited the Old Kuopio Museum.  To our surprise, a Finnish dance group was doing their dress rehearsal which we were invited to watch.  We were fully aware that the Kuopio Dance Festival was going on at the time of our visit -- we had even planned to attend some of their presentations -- but to get a free admission to a live performance was a big bonus for us.  Here are a few photos of the dancers doing their thing:

... and the grand finale outdoors in the yard.
Left:  A couple of interesting features inside a well-to-do family's residence around 19th century.

After leaving the museum, we took a random walk on the streets of Kuopio.  We visited the Beatles Museum (no photos, sorry), then went to a narrow alley full of shops and stands (below).
