Our trip began on April 29th with a flight from Burlington,
Vermont to Tampa, Florida, where we spent the night at Steve's and
Karen's. Steve's mother Robyn joined us for dinner that evening.

On Sunday, April 30th at noon, we boarded our ship,
Splendour of the Seas and began our cruise across the
Atlantic. The ship was one of Royal Carribbean Cruise
Lines vessels and was being repositioned to Barcelona from
where it will sail the Mediterranean during the summer months. To our surprise, the ship's climbing wall was
open even though we had not yet set sail -- unusual in our
experience. But, since it was available, we decided to
take advantage of it and try out our skills. |

* We managed to do the entire 14-day cruise without using the
ship's elevators even once. How about that for controlling the
waistline!! :-)

Our first port of call was Key West.
Having been there multiple times already, we were looking to
visit something we had not yet seen -- a Butterfly Farm.
There were a bunch of beautiful butterflies, as expected. |
